What a wonderful start to our Autumn International...the sun shone for most of the day (a little cloud later but no rain!) ...so happy faces everywhere!
Two classes completed the dressage phase today, CCI2* and CCI1*. We also saw the first of CIC2* class on the field. That class will finish tomorrow, along with the CCI3*.
CCI2*
Great Britain holds the top three places here ahead of Saturday’s Cross Country. Izzy Taylor is in the lead after a lovely dressage test, with Call Me Maggie May, posting a score of 41.5. Sharon Hunt (GBR) lies 2nd overnight on 42.8, with Loughnatousa Fabio and Rose Carnegie (GBR) is in 3rd position on 43.7, with Master Rory.
CCI1*
Vittoria Panizzon (winner of the CCI2* here in Sept, 2012) leads this class, with Borough Free Flight, on an impressive score of 36.9. Tim Boland, for Australia, is in 2nd place overnight, with Wild Duchess, on 39.4 and in 3rd spot, it’s Sharon Reilly on 40.6 with Until Proven Guilty (seems he was innocent of all wrong doing today!)
CCI3*
Claire Abbot will be hoping to upset this leaderboard tomorrow, when she and Euro Prince ride their test! Overnight, Tim Boland is in the lead with GV Billy Elliot on a score of 43.0. Oliver Townend (GBR) lies in 2nd place with Skyhills Cavalier, on 47.6 and Sam Watson (IRL) is in 3rd place, on 47.8, with Horseware Lukeswell.
CIC2*
10 of 35 competitors did their tests today and Ireland’s Aoife Clarke did a lovely test to finish on 38.1 with Rienroe Lucky Ranger and lead the field overnight. The remaining competitors will complete the dressage phase tomorrow.
